"I AM"

Most people are not like the Bereans…they don’t test anything.
Acts 17:11 The people of Berea were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were true.
As a side note, the Bereans referred to the Scriptures to test what New Testament teachers were saying. The only Scriptures they had were the Torah and the Prophets. We should be doing the same thing.
Acts 24:14 I admit that I worship the God of our ancestors as a follower of the Way, which they call a cult. I believe everything that is in accordance with the Torah and that is written in the Prophets.
I hear so many people repeating what they have been told that when you see the words “I AM” that’s God’s eternal name.
Exodus 3:13-14 Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?” And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.”
He's not using "I am" as a personal name, He's using it as an "adjective" to describe His eternal nature in that He is not the “I WAS” or the “I WILL BE” He’s the “I AM” the Eternal One, forever present.
His true personal “forever” name is found in verse 15.
Exodus 3:15 God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel: Yahweh, the God of your ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you. This is my eternal name, my name to remember for all generations.
Did you notice how He said “YAHWEH” is His eternal name to remember, not “I AM”. Even the high and exalted name “Almighty God” is not His name forever.
Exodus 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob by the name of Almighty God, but by my name YAHWEH was I not known unto them.
Psalm 135:13 O Yahweh, Your name is everlasting, O Yahweh, Your remembrance is from generation to generation.
As a side note, the original language didn’t use “CAPITAL” letters so if the translator is using them, he’s trying to get you to see and believe something that the verse might not be saying. In other words, just because someone says, “I am” does not mean he’s claiming to be the Eternal One.
For example, John the Baptist is not the Eternal One.
Matthew 3:14 But John tried to talk him out of it. “I am the one who needs to be baptized by you,” he said, “so why are you coming to me?”
Neither is the Roman officer.
Matthew 8:8 But the officer said, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed.
Neither is Peter the Eternal One.
Luke 22:33 Peter said, “Lord, I am ready to go to prison with you, and even to die with you.”
The one true eternal God is “YAHWEH” that is His name forever and in some cases it’s abbreviated.
Abbreviated: made shorter, smaller, or briefer than usual.
Psalms 68:4 Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name Yah, and rejoice before Him.
Isaiah 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; “For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.”
Isaiah 26:4 Trust in the Lord forever, for in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.
Isaiah 38:11 I said, “I shall not see Yah, the Lord in the land of the living; I shall observe man no more among the inhabitants of the world.
This is why we also find the Father’s name in the Son’s name, “Yahshua”. It’s also in the expression, “Halleluyah” which means, “Praise ye Yah”.
Amen…
