"What we have today with the church"

Righteousness and holiness just didn't happen overnight, it needed to be taught and the people called by God needed to manifest it in their lives in order to be a light to the world.
Isaiah 49:6 He says, “You will do more than restore the people of Israel to me. I will make you a light to the Gentiles, and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.”
John 4:22 You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews.
The righteousness and holiness, that God taught Israel, needs to be a continuous work of teaching and manifesting the holiness and righteousness of God in His people. What we have today, in the body of Christ, was created through Israel over many years. This is why today we have the Bible, teachers and the Sabbath gathering to make it all happen again, and again.
Acts 13:44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God.
Acts is the beginning of the body of Christ. It's the assembly of people who have been called, changed and then continue on to learn the holiness and righteousness of God, which is being taught from the Scriptures every Sabbath.
Acts 15:19-21 It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. Instead, we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood. For the law of Moses has been preached in every city from the earliest times and is read in the synagogues on every Sabbath.
Some people will say that the Sabbath gathering wasn't happening prior to Israel being called. We need understand and remember that the holiness and righteousness of God was not a thing a fallen creation had any desire for or knowledge of. But now, since these things have been revealed and taught for many years, we are now accountable.
Leviticus 23:3 You have six days in which to do your work, but remember that the seventh day Sabbath, On that day do not work, but gather for worship. The Sabbath belongs to the Lord, no matter where you live.
Acts 17:29-31 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”
The Sabbath gathering wasn't being practiced prior to Israel being called, this is true but there's another truth we need to see, and that is, the 4th commandment is part of the law given at Mt Sinai, which was enacted because people were sinning. That means they should have been honoring it, but they weren't, thus the need for the 4th commandment.
Righteousness and holiness needs to be taught and we need to work at manifesting it in our lives or we won't see the Lord.
Hebrews 12:24 Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.
The man of lawlessness is the one who ushered in the apostasy and changed all what God taught His people.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
Amen...
